JOSEPH JOEY JAMES BIO:
Joseph James, affectionately known as Joey, was born on March 16th in Brooklyn, New York before moving to Boston with his family at the age of 4. Joey's parents instilled in him a love for music and in particular hip hop music. His father, who was a rapper when Joey was growing up, passed down his talent to his son. Motivated by a desire for a better environment, Joseph's family moved to Boston when he was young.
Joey started making music on the side while going to art school and in 2010 he launched his career as a full-time artist. He began to put out albums and perform at different shows, eventually launching his debut album "Joey," which gained recognition for him in the music industry. Joey would go on to open up for artists like Millyz, Rico Nasty, YFN Lucci, Slum Village and more, performing over 500 shows at various venues such as the SOB's, House of Blues, Hard Rock, and Middle East.
Joey has since transitioned away from being a full-time artist and now focuses mainly on mentoring younger artists and managing his own company called Joey's Home Entertainment. His goal was never to fully walk away from music, but to impart his knowledge to the younger generation and provide a platform for anyone who wants to get into the music industry. He now manages a new star in the making named BML J.R. and continues to have an impact on the music industry. To stay up to date on Joey and his upcoming events, visit the home page.
